The time when man invented machines is probably the time when mechanics were born. Naturally, no one will operate or repair the engines and machineries without such skilled workers. Nowadays, the world seems to be almost filled with different kinds of machines that we use in our day to day living. Each type of machine needs a specialized mechanic to see to its proper repair and operation.
Of all types of mechanics, the most popular and recognized is an auto mechanic. It is probably because the cars on the street have been continuously increasing in number as well. To become an auto mechanic, an aspirant should first know about how the car engine operates and how it can be repaired. Knowledge about auto engine repair could either come from a formal education at a vocational or technical school. Another option by which knowledge may be gained is by working as an apprentice or assistant to a learned and professional car mechanic. There are auto mechanics who train with various types of vehicle engines to provide flexible service to customers, while there are also those auto mechanics who just specialize of a single type of engine, say a road equipment, a diesel engine or a truck engine.
An auto mechanic may work as a freelancer, as an employee of an auto repair company or as an employee of company that uses cars for its operation like a bus or taxi company.
